Gail Randolph Burns died Thursday, June 4, 2026 in the care of hospice at her home in Plantation, Florida at the age of 94. Gail was born April 14, 1932 in Detroit, Michigan to Norman and Elizabeth Randolph. Gail was married to the love of her life, James Burns for 46 years.
Gail was preceded in death by her husband Hugh James Burns, son James Burns and son Sean Moughan.
Gail enjoyed being an elementary school teacher, traveling with her husband, cooking, entertaining, sports and most of all being with her family.
Gail is survived by her daughter Marie (Robert) of Anchorage, Alaska, son Daniel (Jane) of Livonia, Michigan, and daughter-in-law Michele (son James/deceased) of Troy, Michigan, her brother Stuart Randolph of Apex, North Carolina, her nephew Mike Randolph of Cary, North Carolina; grandchildren Sara (Mike), Robert (Beth Ann). Julie (Deric), Lisa (Stephnie), Luke, Samuel, and Zachary (Jenna). Gail also had six great grandchildren, Luke, Andrew, Benjamin, Allison, Benjamin, and Barrett.
The family would like to acknowledge Gail's friends and long term care givers of many years; Myrtle and Mercie who Gail loved dearly.
